The flight stopped in France and took off for Mumbai on Monday (December 25). The flight bound for Mumbai was stopped at the airport near Paris on Friday (December 22) on suspicion of human trafficking. There were 303 passengers on board this plane, mostly Indians.
The Indian government has thanked France regarding the matter. The Indian Embassy in France wrote on social media X, “Thank you to the French government and Vatry Airport for resolving the situation as soon as possible.” The Embassy further said we remained on the site for the safe return.

What Did Legend Airlines Say?
Liliana Bakayoko, a Romanian airline Legend Airlines lawyer, said that a partner company that leased the plane was responsible for verifying each passenger’s identity documents and sent the passengers’ passport information to the airline 48 hours before the flight. Let us tell you that in France, there is a provision of punishment of up to 20 years for human trafficking.

A flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, bound for Nicaragua with 303 passengers, was stopped at Vatry Airport, 150 km east of Paris, on Friday (December 22) on suspicion of human trafficking.
