Electricity connection rates in Uttar Pradesh may increase by 30 to 35 per cent. Power Corporation has sent the revised cost data book proposal to the State Electricity Regulatory Commission for the fourth time. In this proposal, no significant changes have been made in the new connections and consumer goods items.
Some relief has been given to farmers and small consumers in the new proposals. Farmers and small consumers must install a minimum 25 KVA transformer when they get a new electricity connection. The new proposal has been said to do it in different capacities like 10 KVA single phase, 16 KVA 3 phase and above 25 KVA.
At the same time, State Electricity Consumer Council Chairman Awadhesh Kumar Verma said the council will oppose this proposal in the review panel sub-committee meeting.
Electricity Will Remain Uninterrupted For Six Hours In Vikas Nagar
Due to the work being done under the RDSS scheme, the power supply from Power Substation Vikas Nagar to Sector-3 Vikas Nagar will be disrupted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Due to the construction work of the Khurram Nagar Ring Road Overbridge, the power supply to Gandhinagar and Kamla Nehru Nagar will also remain closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entrepreneurs Told Problems To Electricity Officials
Hapur: Electricity officials, including Chief Engineer Anil Kumar Jaiswal of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Bulandshahr, participated in the meeting of IIA Dhir Khera Hapur. The entrepreneurs put the electricity problems before them and demanded solutions. On which the Chief Engineer talked about solving the issues.
In the meeting, entrepreneur Ashok Chhariya told the entrepreneurs of Dheerkhera Industrial Area, Modinagar Road and Hapur about the problems being faced by the electricity department, like sending high bills, not installing new meters, etc. Chief Engineer Anil Kumar Jaiswal said that the government has passed a budget of Rs 36 crore for the Hapur district, of which Rs 5 crore is for the Dhirkheda Industrial Area. A proposal to increase the capacity of the powerhouse of Dhirkheda Industrial Area to 20 MVA has been sent to the government.
