Noida News: Noida district administration has decided to give private school management sleepless nights. The District Magistrate of Noida has imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on more than 100 schools across the district.
He has also given an ultimatum that if the order is not followed within the stipulated time, this fine amount will be increased to five lakh rupees. This whole matter is related to the time of the Corona period. At that time, the DM was very angry about the decision of the Allahabad High Court.
In Which Case Action Taken
During the Corona crisis, the Allahabad High Court ordered all schools to refund 15% of the fees collected from parents in session 2021-22. It has been said that many schools were not following this order of the High Court. After this order, out of the schools which did not return the money, a fine of Rs 1 lakh each has been imposed on more than 100 schools. The DM says that if the schools do not produce 15 per cent of the fees to the parents within a month, then the schools will have to pay a fine of five lakh rupees each.
School Management Worried
As soon as the DM’s order came, this matter was discussed. This decision will relieve the parents; however, the school management seems to be quite worried. He says that during the Corona crisis, he gave the parents a 20 to 30% rebate on his behalf. That exemption already provided in the order of the High Court should also be included. Let us tell you that after listening to this argument of the school management, the DM has written a letter to the government and has sought detailed information about the said exemption.
