Bharat Space Station: After the success of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO’s morale is high. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to send astronauts to the Moon by 2040 to boost the space programme. He also said that by 2032, he talked about establishing the India Space Station in space under the direction of ISRO.
Inspiration Received From Chandrayaan 3
Indian space scientists have created history by making a soft landing on the south pole of the Moon. Let us tell you that after this success, India has become the fourth nation in the world which has made a soft landing on the Moon. Before this, three other countries had done a similar feat but had made a soft landing on the North Pole of the Moon. India has also launched a rocket to study the Sun. Also, ISRO will start trials soon to train its crew for space missions.
Plan Of ‘Bharat Space Station’
According to the government statement, the Prime Minister has directed that India aim for new and ambitious goals, including setting up the ‘Bharat Space Station’ by 2035 and sending the first Indian to the Moon by 2040. The Department of Space will develop a roadmap for Moon exploration to realise this vision. Modi has also inspired scientists to work on missions to Venus and Mars.
Trial Before Final Launch Of Gaganyaan
ISRO Chairman S. Somnath said there will be three more test flights, TV-D2, TV-D3 and TV-D4, to test the system before the final launch of Gaganyaan. ISRO had recently said, “Preparations are underway for the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1), which will demonstrate the performance of the Crew Escape System.” The first Development Flight Test Vehicle (TV-D1) is in the final stages of preparation. The test vehicle is a single-stage liquid rocket developed for this abort mission.
