2 New Avatars Of Vande Bharat Will Be Seen; Railways Preparing To Run Till February

New Vande Bharat Express: Vande Bharat Express is gradually becoming the identity of Indian Railways. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of running it on 75 routes in the country by August 15. So far, 17 such trains have been flagged off. Apart from this, preparations will launch two more versions of this indigenous semi-high-speed train in the country by next year. Both types of trains can run on track till February 2024.

Presently only one version of Vande Bharat Express is running on track in the country. This train is being run to cover a maximum distance of 8 hours. There are only two types of coaches: chair tax and executive class. Railways has planned to launch two new versions in this financial year. The first is Vande Metro, and the second is Vande Sleepers.

Vande Bharat Express has enhanced the passenger experience of Indian Railways. These trains are being prepared to replace Rajdhani, Shatabdi and local trains. All these three variants are currently being manufactured at the Integrated Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.

Different versions of Vande Bharat will be run on three different routes. The Vande Bharat Chair Car is being operated over a distance of 100 to 550 km. At the same time, Vande Metro will be run on routes with a distance of less than 100 km. At the same time, the Vande Sleeper train will be run for a distance of more than 550 kilometres.

Railways have targeted to launch both these models by February or March 24.
