His smartwatch saved his life in that difficult time. 42-year-old Paul told Express.Co.UK he was going for an early morning run near his home. Then, he felt severe chest pain. He managed to call his wife through his smartwatch and was rushed to the hospital in time.

Attack Took Place 5 Minutes Away From Home

Paul said he went for his usual run at 7 a.m. and felt severe chest pain within about five minutes. Felt tightness in my chest and then sat on the road on my hands and knees. Paul says that the pain was unbearable. It seemed as if someone was squeezing the entire body. Luckily, I managed to call my wife, Laura, through my smartwatch. At that time, I was 5 minutes away. So she immediately got there by car. He also called paramedics. He immediately took charge of the situation.

There Was Blockage In The Arteries

Paul said that when he reached the hospital, his heart was examined. Then, it was discovered that there was a blockage in the arteries; he suffered a heart attack. He was then taken to the catheterization laboratory in the hospital’s cardiac centre, where his arteries were opened. He stayed in the coronary unit for six days to recover before being flown back home.

Paul says that my heart attack was a shock for my family. Because I am not overweight and I try to keep myself fit.
