Shah Rukh Khan Mumbai Airport: Shah Rukh Khan and his team were stopped by the customs department at Mumbai airport late on Friday night. Shahrukh Khan had gone to Dubai with his team from the private charter VTR-SG to attend a book launch event. Returned to Mumbai last night at 12:30 on this private charter flight. While crossing the Red Channel, a custom found watches worth lakhs of rupees in the bags of Shah Rukh Khan and his team.
After this, the custom stopped everyone, and the bag was checked. During the investigation, many expensive watches, Babun & Zurbk watches, 6 boxes of Rolex watches, Spirit brand watches (approximately Rs. 8 lakhs), and Apple series watches were found in the bag.
Empty boxes of watches were also found. Customs evaluated these watches, and then a custom duty of Rs 17 lakh 56 thousand 500 was made on them. After this, there was talk of paying lakhs of tax on these watches worth crores of rupees.
After an hour-long process, Shah Rukh and Pooja Dadlani were allowed to leave the airport, but Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard Ravi and team members were stopped.
