Rajamouli’s Film RRR Won Another Big Award

SS Rajamouli’s film RRR created a stir in India. After that, it was appreciated abroad too. Many people raised questions about not sending it as an official entry from India to the Oscars. There is a discussion about this in the external media as well. This is not the issue at the moment.

A few days back, RRR won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for its song ‘Naatu Naatu’. Now another award has been named after him. MM Keeravani won the Best Score Award for the film at the LA Critics Circle. This has come when people are also expecting its Oscar nomination. RRR was also included in the Oscar reminder list.

Congratulations to our Music Director, MM Keerwani, for winning the Best Music Award for RRR at the LA Film Critics.

This award has been given to RRR by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. It consists of film critics from the electronic and print media of Los Angeles. For this, every year in December, only film critics vote. RRR has been given the best score award based on the same voting.

Earlier, RRR’s song ‘Naatu-Naatu’ had won the Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category. This is the first Asian song to do so, which won the Golden Globes called Mini Oscars. RRR was the first Indian film nominated at the Golden Globes in over two decades. The films that received nominations in the first non-English film category include ‘Salaam Bombay’ and ‘Monsoon Wedding’.

NTR Junior and Ramcharan were in the lead roles in RRR, released in cinema houses in March last year. The film earned over Rs 1200 crore worldwide. Out of this, the Indian collection of the film was around Rs 900 crore.
