Bollywood Chrisann Pereira: Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira is currently lodged in UAE jail; she has been arrested for drug smuggling. However, now the Mumbai Police have arrested the two main accused in this case, giving them great relief. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two people for framing the actress in a drug-smuggling case.
These days actress Chrisann Pereira is in jail in Sharjah, UAE, and it is said that both the arrested accused had sent drugs with her to implicate Chrisann Pereira. 27-year-old actress Chrisann Pereira has appeared in films like ‘Sadak 2’ and ‘Batla House’.
Chrisann Pereira Implicated In Drugs Case Sharjah Jail
One accused has been identified as Anthony Paul, a resident of Borivali, Mumbai. The crime branch has also arrested her accomplice Rajesh Babhote alias Ravi, a resident of the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra, for allegedly sending the actress to Sharjah with drugs by hiding them in a trophy.
Actress Pereira was arrested in Sharjah earlier this month after she was found to have drugs hidden in an award. She is currently lodged in Sharjah Jail in a drug smuggling case. In his clarification, she had said that she was unaware of the drugs in the trophy; she had been implicated.
The actress’s family alleged that the daughter had been framed, and the Mumbai Police have started investigating the matter. It was revealed by the police officers that Paul conspired to implicate the actress in the drugs case to take revenge on the actress’s mother, Premila Pereira.
Paul conspires with his associate Ravi to send Chrisann to the United Arab Emirates for an alleged audition for an international web series. Police officials said that while going to the airport, they were handed the trophy where the accused had hidden the drugs. The authorities also learned that Paul had similarly framed four other people.
