Actor Aamir Khan donated Rs 25 lakh to the disaster relief fund to help the flood-affected families in Himachal Pradesh. The state government gave this information in a statement on Saturday. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed gratitude to the actor and said that this assistance will help relief and rehabilitation.

These government efforts aim to help the affected families recover from the bad situation after the disaster. The Chief Minister said that the fund will be used judiciously and he will ensure that it reaches the needy people. Earlier, Sukhu had donated his entire savings of Rs 51 lakh to the disaster relief fund to help the state’s disaster-affected people.

The governments of Haryana, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have assisted 65 crore to help the assistance state in relief and rehabilitation measures. Apart from the temple trusts, NGOs and other people have also come forward to help. Due to heavy rains in July and August, there has been huge damage to the roads, water supply plants, buildings and other private and public properties of Himachal.
