IT Layoffs Hit Worldwide, But TCS to Hire 40,000 Freshers This Year

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has also played an important role in the ongoing layoffs in the IT sector. However, even in this environment, the country’s largest IT company has greatly relieved the people looking for jobs. The company has planned to give jobs to about 40 thousand freshers this year.

Recruitments Are Going On Continuously In TCS

Tata Consultancy Services has informed us that it added 5452 employees in the June quarter, bringing the total number of employees to 606,998. The company will continue to add freshers until the end of the financial year 2024-25. According to TCS, by the end of this financial year, its total number of employees will be around 6.5 lakh.

The Company Wants To Give More Opportunities To Freshers

According to TCS Chief HR Officer Milind Lakkad, India is full of talent. This remains our biggest strength. We are going to benefit a lot from this talent in the future. They can be made better by running skill development programs. That’s why we want to give freshers as many opportunities as possible. He said that the youth will have to be prepared to deal with the impact of AI. The job market has also changed due to changes in technology. TCS is preparing to deal with this. Our employees are always ready to change themselves according to the industry.

The Company Distributed Good Increments

He said the company had given 10 to 12 percent increments to those who performed better. Other people have also been given increments of 4.5 to 7 percent. The company has given AI training to more than 4 lakh employees. Employees have also benefited from other training programs run by the company. Also, about 70 percent of the company’s employees work from the office.
