PIB Fact Check revealed that some people called on the number mentioned in the message or social media post, and then lakhs of rupees were deducted from their accounts. A PIB fact check ascertained the reality of the message going viral. PIB Fact Check found that the Ministry of Power has issued no such letter or message. Cyber thugs are circulating such messages to make people victims. In such a situation, you need to be completely careful.
Do Not Forward Misleading Messages
Central government’s official fact checker ‘PIB Fact Check’ has warned people against forwarding such misleading messages. In a tweet issued by PIB Fact Check, it was told that this claim is fake.
