Government Launches New Pension Form, Aims to Simplify Retirement Process

Pension Application Form: The central government has introduced a new pension application form for the convenience of retiring employees. The government claims that Form 6A will be very easy for the employees. Now, they will be free to fill out 9 different forms. Union Minister Jitendra Singh launched this form on Friday.

Jitendra Singh, while releasing the form through video conference, said that we have tried to simplify the difficulties faced by the employees in getting pensions. Form 6A will eliminate many of their problems in one go. He has described it as a step to make pensioners’ life easier. He said that with the help of the new integrated form, the problem of handling many forms will be eliminated. Lakhs of senior citizens are expected to benefit from this. With this, they will be able to settle pension-related matters quickly. The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took this initiative for senior citizens. Those retiring after December 2024 will get the benefit.

The new Form 6A will be available on the ‘Bhavishya’ or e-HRMS portal for all Central Government employees retiring in December 2024 and after that. The ‘Bhavishya’ portal is an initiative of the Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare Department. Under this, efforts are being made to ensure that the retiring employees receive all dues and pension payment orders on the day of retirement.

The Way Will Be Opened To Make The Entire Pension Process Paperless

Under this system, the approval and payment process of pension and other retirement benefits can be monitored online. E-PPO can be downloaded through the system. e-HRMS, known as the Electronic Human Resource Management System, contains other details, including service records of government employees. This will pave the way for making the entire pension process paperless.
