Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has received death threats for the second time within 24 hours. It is being told that death threats have been made again from the same email ID. But this time, the person who issued the threat demanded extortion of Rs 200 crore from Mukesh Ambani. Threatening to murder for the second time, it is written in the email to give Rs 200 crore; otherwise, be prepared to lose your life.
Mukesh Ambani Again Receives Death Threats
In the second email, the person threatened Mukesh Ambani and wrote, “You have not yet responded to our email; the amount is Rs 200 crore; otherwise, the death warrant has been signed.” In the earlier email, there was a death threat if payment of Rs 20 crore was not made.
FIR Registered
Industrialist Mukesh Ambani received the email on Friday, and an FIR was lodged against an unidentified person at Gamdevi police station based on the complaint of his security in-charge, a Mumbai Police official said on Saturday.
According to the FIR, the criminal claimed in the mail, “If you (Ambani) do not give us Rs 20 crore, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India.”
Police said the case was registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 387 (putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A raid has been started to catch the person sending the mail. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
Mukesh Ambani Has Been Receiving Threats Before Also
However, this is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has received death threats. Last year, Mumbai Police had arrested a man from Darbhanga in Bihar for making death threat calls to Ambani and his family members. The person had also threatened to bomb Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.
