However, no Indian company has reached the top 40 in this list.
Slipped 10 Places From Last Year
Hurun Global 500 list was released on Wednesday. In this list, 500 non-government companies worldwide have been given a place. According to this, Reliance Industries continues to dominate among Indian companies. The company has occupied the 44th position with a market cap of $198 billion. Reliance Industries also became the country’s most valuable company last year. This year, the company’s net worth has declined by 2 per cent and slipped ten per cent.
TCS Rises 5 and HDFC Bank 43 Places
According to Hurun’s report, TCS ranked 60th, and HDFC Bank ranked 68th. TCS’s net worth has increased by 14 percent to $ 158 billion, up 5 places from last year. On the other hand, due to the merger of HDFC and HDFC Bank, the company gained 43 places and stood at 68th on the list. Titan Company and Sun Pharmaceutical have also made it to this list.
Adani Group Suffered Big Loss
This year, 48 companies have also been removed from this list. These include Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy, and Adani Total Gas from India. Overall, India has slipped down one place on this list to number 6. 18 companies in the country have made it to the list.
Open AI Included In The List For The First Time
If the whole world is included, 5 such companies have been included in the list for the first time, whose market value is more than 1 trillion dollars. These include Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon and Nvidia. Hurun Report Chairman Rupert Hoogwerf said that Microsoft’s market value was estimated at $ 708 billion and Nvidia’s at $ 697 billion. Nvidia’s wealth increased three times compared to last year. This is believed to be the effect of Chat GPT. OpenAI, the owner of Chat GPT, has also come on the list for the first time at number 291, with a market value of $50 billion. Except for Taiwan’s TSMC, all the companies in the top 10 are American.
