Cheap Team Will Be Formed Outside America
According to a report by Free Press Journal, Google has fired its Python team only because their salaries were high. Instead, Google will now build this team with cheap employees outside America. The new team is believed to be formed in Munich, Germany, where they will find low-wage employees.
The Fired Employees Are Extremely Disappointed.
A former member of the Google Python team wrote that he worked at Google for two decades. This was his best job. Now, he is very disappointed due to layoffs. Another employee said he was very sorry that our entire team, including our manager, had been fired. Now the work will be done by a team sitting abroad in our place. This is a negative effect of capitalism. This small team used to look after most of Google’s work related to Python. Despite this, they have been fired due to cheap labour.
Layoffs Have Taken Place in Many Departments.
According to a report by Business Insider, Google has also made layoffs in the real estate and finance departments. Google’s Finance Chief Ruth Porat emailed employees that the company is restructuring. We want to focus on growth in Bengaluru, Mexico City, and Dublin. Google had laid off thousands of employees from engineering, hardware, and assistant teams earlier. The company did this layoff to increase investment in Artificial Intelligence technology.
