Adani Group to Invest $100 Billion in Green Energy, Aims for World’s Cheapest Clean Power

Gautam Adani Mega Investment Plan: Billionaire Gautam Adani’s Adani Group is among the country’s top 3 largest business groups. On Wednesday, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said that the group aims to manufacture all the major parts required for green energy production.

Gautam Adani announced that the Adani Group will invest more than US $100 billion (about Rs 8340 crore) in energy transition projects and manufacturing capacity. The Adani Group works in coal to ports and wants to produce the ‘world’s cheapest green electron’, serving as a ‘feedstock’ for many sectors.

The Value Of The Global Energy Transition Market Will Double

Gautam Adani said the energy transition sector will forever change the outlook on global energy. He said that the value of the worldwide energy transition market in 2023 was about $3000 billion. It is estimated to reach $6000 billion by 2030. After that, it will double every ten years until 2050.

Adani Group’s Eye On Green Hydrogen Production

Apart from building solar parks and wind farms to generate electricity from sunlight, the group is setting up electrolyser manufacturing facilities to produce green hydrogen, wind power turbines, and solar panels. Green hydrogen is produced by separating hydrogen from water with the help of electrolysers operated with clean energy. It is a possible option to make industry and transportation carbon-free.

Gautam Adani Attended CRISIL’s Program

Addressing Crisil’s “Infrastructure—Catalyst for India’s Future” program, Gautam Adani said that billions of dollars of opportunities in energy transition and digital infrastructure will transform India locally and globally. He said we will invest over $100 billion in the energy transition sector in the next decade and expand our integrated renewable energy value chain further. Manufacturing of key parts is already included in our value chain.

Adani Group Built The World’s Largest Green Energy Plant In Barren Land

Gautam Adani gave further information and said that to do this, we are already building the world’s largest single renewable energy park in Khavda in the Kutch district of Gujarat. This single plant alone will generate 30 gigawatts of electricity and will take our total renewable energy capacity to 50 gigawatts by 2030. Remember that this is the world’s largest green energy plant built on barren land, whose size is 5 times larger than the city of Paris.
