According to a report by CNBC TV18, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will review the performance of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in detail on August 19. The review will focus on key parameters of financial condition, including bank deposit growth, credit-deposit ratio, and asset quality.

Developed India Card For Digital Payments

There may also be a discussion about issuing a developed India card for digital payments in the meeting. An update on the current status of the accounts acquired by National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL), known as Bad Bank, can also be discussed in the meeting.

These Government Schemes Will Be Discussed

The performance of many government schemes can also be reviewed in an important meeting held under the leadership of the Finance Minister. The government schemes expected to be discussed in the meeting include Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.
