Suzuki has launched its middle-weight sportbike GSX-8R in India. It is available in two colour options, silver and black. In the Indian market, this bike will compete with the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and Aprilia RS660. Suzuki GSX-8R: Engine
The GSX-8R has a 776cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that generates 82.9PS power and 78Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bidirectional quick shifter.
This bike is built on a tubular frame. Its suspension setup has an inverted fork and link-type mono-shock from Showa. This supersport bike has 17-inch alloy wheels with 120-section front and 180-section rear tyres.
Suzuki GSX-8R: Features
Suzuki GSX-8R has a 5-inch TFT display with two day and night modes. It also has three riding modes: A, B, and C. These modes modulate the throttle response. Mode A gives the fastest throttle response. At the same time, mode B provides better balance and linear power delivery. Mode C gives a softer throttle response and performs better when driving on wet or slippery roads.
The bike’s braking system comprises twin front and single disc rear discs with NISSIN callipers. It also has dual-channel ABS.
Suzuki GSX-8R: Price
Suzuki India has launched the Suzuki GSX-8R, a supersport bike, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9,25,000. It will compete with the Triumph Daytona 660, priced at Rs 9,72,450, and the Ninja 650, priced at Rs 7,16,000.
