Jawa 42 Bobber Pros and Cons: Mahindra-owned Classic Legends recently launched a new Jawa bike. It has been named Jawa 42 Bobber. This is the second bobber bike from the company.
Earlier in the year 2019, the company introduced Jawa Perak Bobber. The new Jawa 42 Bobber has been brought in three colour options. The price of each colour option is different. The cost of the bike starts from Rs.2.06 lakhs.
At the same time, its Jasper Red (dual tone) top variant has been kept at Rs 2.09 lakh. In this, the fuel tank gets dual-tone paint of red and white colour. The special thing is that the bike comes in a single-seater option only. Many special features have been given to it with a unique look. Looks and Features
The look of this bike makes it different from other bikes. Round-shaped headlamps and circular indicators have been given in the motorcycle. From front to back, you only get to see LED lighting.
It gets spoke wheeled tyres, though it is not tubeless. Both the front and rear tires have a decent width. The handlebar and footrests found slightly forward give a good riding posture.
Only a single seat has been given in it. 2 step adjustment is also available in this seat. The company does not even offer the option of a second seat as an accessory. This has been done to maintain its bobber look.
The seat is quite comfortable, and even shorter drivers can comfortably ride it. At the rear, the tail lamps are found on the rear fender. In the old model, it was given behind the seat.
Dual exhaust is available in the bike, making the cycle look attractive. The fuel tank gets knee recesses along with the tank pad, while the fenders and side panels get a gloss-black finish.
Talking About The LCD Features
A digital instrument cluster has been given in Jawa 42 Bobber. All the information, including speed, trip meter, time, and fuel, has been provided in this display. However, features like Bluetooth connectivity or turn-by-turn navigation seem missing from the bike.
The bike gets Continental-sourced dual-channel ABS. The switchgear is similar to that of the Yezdi motorcycle. The special thing is that it has a USB charging setup, in which Type A and Type C charging ports are also available.
Engine and Performance
A 334cc engine powers the new Jawa 42 Bobber. This engine generates 30.64 bhp power and 32Nm torque. This bike has been given a 6-speed gearbox. Single disc brake and Slipper Clutch are available on both wheels.
In terms of power, this bike does not give you any complaints. But it needs the right speed at the right gear. The suspension feels a bit harsh, but this has been done to keep the bike more controlled. It looks heavy in appearance, but you can handle the bike quickly. Its seat height is only 750mm.

This bike comes with a unique look and looks quite stunning. Many people will be seen looking back at it. If you are looking for a bike that stands out, Jawa 42 Bobber can be included in the list. However, you have to operate from only one seat, which is also this bike’s speciality and makes it different from the rest.
