Bajaj Auto has trademarked a total of 4 names in the last few days. The company seems to be gearing up to introduce new products in the two-wheeler industry. The new nameplate will likely be used for the upcoming CNG bikes.
Entry Of 4 Different Models!
The four new names trademarked by the two-wheeler giant are – Glider, Marathon, Trekker and Freedom. The OEMs have applied for these trademarks between January 29 and February 9 this year. However, which nameplate will be used for Bajaj’s upcoming CNG motorcycle is not certain.
What Is Bajaj’s Future Plan?
Trekker could potentially be the name of an adventure bike. Bajaj currently has a 250 cc engine, which could be used to rival the Suzuki V-Strom SX. At the same time, there is a possibility that Marathon can be used for commercial vehicles.
The Glider and Freedom could also be used for other products, including the upcoming CNG motorcycle. The automaker is expected to present detailed information in the coming months.
Benefits Of CNG Bikes
The upcoming Bajaj CNG motorcycle will help reduce operation and fuel consumption by 55-65 per cent. CNG is known as a cleaner fuel than petrol. It emits approximately 50 per cent less carbon dioxide and 75 per cent less carbon monoxide.
Also, CNG emits 90 per cent less non-methane hydrocarbons than petrol. Moreover, CNG is also known as a cheaper fuel than petrol.
