Increase In The Fare Of UP Roadways Buses
Bus conductors and drivers say that due to the increased fare, they have been facing tussles with the passengers since morning, and when they are told about the grown food to the people, people get down from their seats in the buses. Roadways employees say that if the government is increasing the food, then it should also increase the facilities of the roadways.
In most AC buses from Gorakhpur, neither fans nor ACs work. Chairs have been kept in the buses by making balance with bricks. The total number of buses has become dilapidated, but the facilities of the passengers have not increased; the government is only increasing the fare, which is not right in any respect, and the government should withdraw its decision.
The Uttar Pradesh State Transport Authority (UPSRTC) has increased the fare of roadways buses by 25 paise per kilometre. The new fare rate has come into force throughout UP from noon to night.
