A video of Bangladesh Test and ODI team captain Shakib Al Hasan is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which he is seen getting angry at the umpire. This is not the first time Shakib has lashed out at the umpire after getting furious with his decision.
Even before this, many such videos of him have come to the fore. The recent incident is during the fourth match of Bangladesh Premier League 2023. During the match, when the ball going over the head from the leg umpire was called first bounce instead of wide, Shakib got angry and started fighting with the umpire on the field.
During the 16th over of this match played between Fortune Barishal vs Sylhet Strikers, Rezaur Rahman Raja tried to hit Shakib with a bouncer; in this attempt, the ball bounced high and went over Shakib’s head.
Although the leg umpire called it the first bounce, Shakib criticized the umpire’s decision on the field, and during this, he looked furious. During this, the wicketkeeper of the opposition team, Mushfiqur Rahim, had to come to the rescue. It was visible in the replays that the ball had gone well above his head.

Shakib calmed his anger by hitting a six on the next ball of the over. In this match, he played an inning of 67 runs in 32 balls while batting brilliantly. During this, he hit 7 fours and 4 sixes. Based on Shakib’s inning, Fortune Barishal reached a score of 194.
However, Fortune Barishal faced defeat in this match as Sylhet Strikers achieved this score with 6 wickets and so many balls to spare.
