Bhagalpur News: Eight New Buses To Be Operated On PPP Mode, Lower Fares Expected for Passengers

Bhagalpur News: Eight buses will be operated on PPP mode from Darbhanga to Saharsa and Sultanganj to Nawada via Bhagalpur. Vehicle owners have shown interest in the application sought by Bihar State Road Transport Corporation regarding this. After the permit is issued, these buses’ timetables and fare lists will be released.

This is going to benefit the passengers a lot. The fare rate for these buses will be lower than that of private buses, in the application given by the vehicle owner, two buses from Amarpur via Kajraily, Government Bus Stand, Lattipur, Bihpur via Maheshkhunt to Saharsa, two buses from Sultanganj to Nawada via Jamui via Asarganj Tarapur. Additionally, vehicle owners have applied for permits for four buses from Bhagalpur Railway Station to Bhagalpur Zero Mile Naugachhia Zeromile via Begusarai to Darbhanga.

According to departmental sources, this route has been vacant for years, and vehicles were not running in PPP mode. However, when will the timetable for this bus be? The concerned Transport Corporation Division will decide.

In this regard, Pawan Shandilya, the Regional Manager of Bhagalpur Transport Division, said that these buses have nothing to do with the Bhagalpur Transport Division. The concerned bus belongs to a different Transport Division; hence, its timetable and other information, including fare, will be available only after its operation starts.

Demand For Three Buses Was Made, But Not Received Till Now

The operation of undertaking buses running on PPP mode from Purnia has been closed for over 20 days. Due to this, government buses are being run on the Bhagalpur to Purnia route. Regional Manager Pawan Shandilya had demanded three buses from BSRTC, but the buses have not been received yet.
