Jobs in India: Apple Inc., the world’s giant company, will create about 6 lakh jobs in India this year. These jobs will be created through Apple and the companies working for it. About 2 lakh of these people will get a chance to work directly for Apple. The number of women in the new jobs will be around 70 percent. These job opportunities will be created by March of this financial year.

Making India A New Stronghold For Manufacturing

According to a report by the Economic Times, Apple wants to reduce its dependence on manufacturing in China as soon as possible. It has made India its new stronghold. The company wants to manufacture as many products as possible in India. Due to this, there will be a boom in the number of jobs in the country. Based on the data and estimates given to the government by Apple and its associated companies, the report claims that this year, about 6 lakh jobs will be created in direct and indirect employment.

1.65 Lakh Jobs Given By These Companies

The report quoted sources saying that Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron have created about 80,872 jobs. Wistron has now become Tata Electronics. Tata Group, Salcomp, Motherson, Foxlink, Sunwoda, ATL, and Jabil, which supply Apple, have also created more than 84 thousand jobs.

Included In The Companies Creating The Most Blue Collar Jobs

In recent years, Apple has been included among the companies creating the most blue-collar jobs in the country. Many youth and women are among those working for Apple. A senior official said that since the Smartphone Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI Scheme) came in 2020, Apple’s vendors have created about 165,000 jobs. The government believes that 1 direct job in the electronics industry creates 3 indirect jobs.
