Nothing is right now in impoverished Pakistan, and those who are getting a chance are running away from there. Pakistan’s government on Monday confirmed that two more crew members of Pakistani International Airlines (PIA) absconded after the flight landed in Canada.
A Pakistani Airlines spokesperson said two senior crew members of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Islamabad fled to Canada soon after it landed in Toronto.
According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, with the escape of these crew members, the number of Pakistani Airlines crew members who eloped upon reaching Canada this year has increased to four. Similarly, last year, four crew members of PIA also absconded.
Pakistani Airlines Crew Members Ran Away
A PIA spokesperson said that two senior flight attendants, Khalid Mahmood and Faida Hussain, had arrived in Canada from Islamabad on PIA flight PK772; after reaching Toronto, they fled to Canada instead of returning to the country.
The spokesperson said, “At the scheduled time of return to Islamabad, two senior crew members did not return to the flight. Due to this, Pakistan Airlines had to return to Islamabad without the two flight attendants.”
The official said local authorities in Toronto had been informed about the two PIA staff members. At the same time, after investigation, strict departmental action will be initiated against the two, and their services will be terminated.
Let us tell you that Pakistani Airlines is stuck in a severe financial crisis, and hundreds of its flights were cancelled last month. Airlines cannot pay their employees salaries, so dozens of employees have resigned, while hundreds of employees are owed lakhs of rupees. It is believed that this is why the airline employees are running away.
Pakistani Airlines flights were stopped in Malaysia and Turkey due to non-payment of oil money.
