At the same time, the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will get a subsidy of Rs 400 on the gas cylinder; that is, those under the Ujjwala scheme will get a gas cylinder cheaper by Rs 400. These people were earlier getting a subsidy of Rs.200.

75 Lakh Sisters Will Get Free Connection

Before the festival of Onam and Rakshabandhan, PM Modi gave a big gift that 75 lakh sisters will get gas connections under the Ujjwala scheme. You will not have to spend even a single rupee on this. Today, gas cylinders are being used in 33 crore homes nationwide.

The gas Cylinder Will Be Available For Rs 903 In Delhi.

After this decision, the cost of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in the capital, Delhi, will be Rs 903 from Wednesday, which is Rs 1,103. The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will now get LPG cylinders for Rs.703.

Prices Will Decrease Under the Ujjwala Scheme

According to the information received from the government, under the Ujjwala scheme, the prices of LPG cylinders will be reduced by Rs 200. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Modi today.

7500 Crore Will Come

An additional subsidy of ₹ 200 per cylinder has been approved under the Cabinet Ujjwala scheme. This decision by the central government will put an additional burden of about Rs 7500 crore on the government.

Rates Have Not Changed Since March.

Regarding the prices of gas cylinders, on the first date of August, the cost of domestic cooking gas in Delhi was Rs.1103. At the same time, the cost of gas cylinders in Mumbai is Rs 1102.50, Rs 1129 in Kolkata and Rs 1118.50 in Chennai. No change has been observed in the prices of domestic gas cylinders since March. At the same time, the prices of commercial gas cylinders have fluctuated many times.

12 Cylinders Are Available In A Year

The Central Government started the Ujjwala scheme in 2016 across the country. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can avail subsidy on 12 cylinders annually. Under the government scheme, families coming below the poverty line get the facility of cooking gas connection for free.
