The border dispute between India and China is not taking name of ending; there have been talks between the two armies at many levels. However, every time China does something, it escalates instead of ending the dispute. Now again, China has increased military activities on LAC, extending from eastern Ladakh to Arunachal. Meanwhile, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey visited the 14 Corps Headquarters in Leh on Thursday (July 27) and took stock of the situation.
Army Chief Will Also Visit The Rest Of The Border Areas
It has been told in the report of Times of India that China is once again increasing its military strength near the border. This report has said that given this situation, the Army Chief can also visit other border areas. Recently, General Pandey also visited the Siachen Glacier near the Pakistani border.
There Will Be Talks About The Removal Of The Army
A few months ago, talks were held between the Chinese and Indian armies in April, during which the Chinese army refused to withdraw troops from Depsang and near the Charding Ninglung Nullah in Demchok in eastern Ladakh. After this, the 19th round of Corps Commander-level talks between the two countries begins.
PLA Present With Heavy Weapons
It has been told in this report of TOI that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has not taken any step so far to reduce the military confrontation in East Ladakh. On the contrary, it continuously strengthens its military power in these areas. The Chinese army has deadly surface-to-air missiles, radars, and ammunition in these border areas.
Congress Raised Questions
The Congress has also surrounded the Modi government on the issue with China and raised questions. The Congress has questioned the Ministry of External Affairs statement on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping accepting each other’s greetings during the G20 summit, asking whether the border dispute with Beijing has been resolved.
Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh asked the government whether the Chinese troops would eventually withdraw from Depsang and Demchok. The Ministry of External Affairs had on July 27 said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping exchanged greetings during a dinner at the G20 summit in Bali last year and discussed the need to stabilize bilateral relations.
