Former Italian President Silvio Berlusconi has left behind a fortune of Rs 900 crore for his girlfriend. According to The Guardian’s report, Berlusconi left property worth up to 100 million euros, or about Rs 900 crore, to his girlfriend Marta Fascina in his will. Berlusconi died last month at the age of 86.
The total wealth of Berlusconi, who was the PM of Italy three times, is said to be close to 6 billion euros. Fascina and Berlusconi’s relationship began in 2020. Berlusconi and Fascina were not legally married, but he addressed her as his wife. Berlusconi is said to have addressed Fascina before his death as well.
Fascina is also a member of Italy’s lower house. She is also part of the group Forza Italia, founded in 1994 by Berlusconi. Berlusconi’s vast empire is managed by his two children, Marina and Pier Silvio. Both have been part of the business for a long time. Both have a 53 per cent stake in Berlusconi’s company. Berlusconi also gave his brother Paolo 100 million euros from his immense wealth.
Berlusconi, who dominated Italian politics for three decades, was one of the country’s most prominent businessmen. Apart from being a politician, he was a businessman and media mogul. Berlusconi died on June 12 at the age of 86. He was admitted to a hospital in Milan for a leukaemia test. This is where he lost his life.
Berlusconi’s lawyer read Berlusconi’s will in the presence of his five children. In this will, Berlusconi wrote, I am distributing the available stocks equally among my children. I bequeath all my wealth to Marina, Pier Silvio, Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi. All these people will be entitled equally.
