The Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government of Rajasthan has given good news to those who make reels on social media. The Rajasthan government has announced that it will rope social media influencers to promote its various welfare schemes. For this, it will advertise to social media influencers active on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Rajasthan Government Will Give Advertisement To Social Media Influencers
In a notification issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) on June 26, the Rajasthan government has said that while DIPR regularly issues advertisements with printing and electronic media, in the future, such advertisements may be issued on social media handles as well.
Apart from this, the state government has also made four categories in which 1) minimum 10 lakh subscribers; 2) Minimum 5 lakh subscribers; 3) Minimum 1 lakh subscribers; 4) Minimum 10,000 subscribers – based on which different rates for issuing advertisements will be decided.
In the notification of the Rajasthan government, it was said that social media platforms would be used in the state to reach the public welfare schemes of the state government at a faster pace, for this advertisement will be approved by Rajasthan Government. Whoever runs Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube will benefit.
The notification states that A category of social media handles/pages/channels can be issued monthly advertisements up to Rs 5 lakh. In contrast, for the B category, C and D, this amount is Rs 2 lakh, Rs 50,000, and Rs 10,000, respectively.
The advertisement rates under each category have been fixed in detail. For example, where an A-category influencer can earn Rs 10,000 for creating a thumbnail in a video, a D-category influencer can earn Rs 1,000 for a tweet.
According to the notification, a committee will be constituted by the commissioner/director at the divisional level. Based on this committee’s recommendation, advertisements will be issued after taking the necessary permission from the government.
Must Fulfill This Condition
Before payment is released, it will be verified by the government whether the advertisement has reached 5 percent of the total subscribers or not. Those taking advantage of the scheme must also submit an affidavit and report of social media analytics. One condition states that the content of the people to whom advertisements will be issued cannot contain indecent, obscene, and anti-national things.
