Jack Ma Of Alibaba Has Now Become A Professor As Well, Appointed In This University Of Japan

You must know China’s billionaire businessman Jack Ma. He is the co-founder of the legendary Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group. The prestigious Tokyo University of Japan has made Jack Ma a professor. He will be guest faculty at Tokyo College, a research center at the University of Tokyo. The university gave this information on Monday. According to the statement, Ma will research sustainable agriculture and food production. Ma is also the head of the Jack Ma Foundation, a philanthropic organization.

Will Share His Experiences With The Students

A statement from the university said he would share “his rich experience and pioneering knowledge on entrepreneurship, corporate management and innovation” with students and faculty. Notably, Chinese regulators stopped the plan to bring an IPO by Alibaba Group’s financial associate Ant Group in 2020. Apart from this, Alibaba was also brought under the scanner. This happened after he criticized China’s regulators and economic system during a speech in Shanghai.

The Appointment Will Be Effective Till October

The university said that his appointment has become effective from Monday itself. It will run till the end of next October. Ma founded the e-commerce firm Alibaba in the 1990s and was once China’s richest man. He is still the 65th richest person in the world. At present, his net worth is $23.7 billion.
