Kerala Vande Bharat Express: Vande Bharat train is one of the most ambitious plans of PM Modi. Indian Railways continuously tries to start the Vande Bharat train on different routes nationwide. Its operation has been created in 15 routes, and the 16th Vande Bharat train will soon be inaugurated. South India is going to get the gift of another Vande Bharat train. This train will run between Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur in Kerala.
Will Get The Gift Of Vande Bharat On This Day
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate Kerala’s first Vande Bharat train on April 25, 2023. At 10.30 am, the PM will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Thiruvananthapuram railway station in Kerala. After this, the PM will unveil 11 projects worth more than Rs 3,200 crore. It is worth noting that the Vande Bharat train has reached the state, and its trial run has also been done.
Vande Bharat Will Pass Through Which Stations
Giving information about Kerala’s first Vande Bharat train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that PM Modi would flag off this train on April 25. This train will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station and reach Kannur stopping at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Tirur, and Kozhikode stations. This train will cover the distance of 501 kilometres between Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur in just 7.5 hours. There is a plan to run this train further between Kasargod and Thiruvananthapuram.
381 Crore Spent To Upgrade The Track Of Kerala
Along with this, the Railway Minister said that the Railways had spent Rs 381 crore on upgrading the track in Kerala for Vande Bharat. Vande Bharat train can run at a maximum of 160 kmph on this route. Railways have a plan that by the end of 2023, at least one Vande Bharat flight should be started in every state of the country. For this, the Railways are preparing on a large scale.
Features Of Vande Bharat Train
Earlier, PM Modi unveiled the Vande Bharat train running between Jaipur and Delhi on April 12. The first Vande Bharat train ran from Delhi to Varanasi in 2019. Since then, this train has been run on many routes. This train is made of 100 per cent indigenous technology and can reach 100 kilometres per hour in 30 seconds. This train has been made entirely air-conditioned. It has WiFi, automatic doors, a GPS, and a 180-degree rotating chair.
